Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Controller

Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an individual who can work independently and is detailed oriented who oversees General Ledger entries. This position will work cross-functionally with all departments and enhance day-to-day operations within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• General Ledger


• Month End closing and account reconciliations for four separate entities


• Intercompany reconciliations


• Manual Accounts Receivable and Customer rebate accruals


• Prepaid Expenses


• Fixed Assets


• Accrued Liabilities


• Insurance


• Sales & Use Tax


• Business Licenses


• Personal Property Taxes


• Prepare monthly P&L and other reporting as assigned


• Assistance on Audits (financial statements, Sales & Use Tax, insurance, customer, union and others).


• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting, finance, and payroll experience.


• Construction industry or professional services industry experience preferred.


• Experience using Sage Intacct, Sage, or similar accounting software.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.


• Communicating with others to exchange information.


• Repeated motions that include wrist, hands and fingers.


• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.


• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
