Production Scheduler

Pay: $31/hr DOE

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Forest Grove, OR

Company Overview:

GLISS is hiring an experienced Production Scheduler for a food manufacturing company in Forest Grove, OR. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating materials and inventory, and ensuring production runs efficiently to meet customer demands. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with production, planning, procurement, and quality teams to manage production priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor production performance and communicate delays, scheduling changes, and recovery plans.
• Prepare and issue accurate batch tickets to support production and maintain proper documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to meet production needs.
• Plan for bulk orders by confirming material availability and production capacity.
• Coordinate warehouse transfers and assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Attend daily production meetings to review priorities, identify challenges, and communicate scheduling updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant production scheduling experience.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong math skills with the ability to calculate material requirements, staffing needs, and production capacity.
• Knowledge of manufacturing resource planning and production scheduling processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
